HISTORY OF TV

For Hulu's campaign, we created "A Brief History of Hulu," a vibrant, 90-second 2D animated promo that takes viewers on a kinetic journey through the evolution of audiovisual entertainment.

A history lesson delivered with pure, infectious visual energy—an endless flow where narrative and motion become a singular, energetic score.

THE DESIGN THESIS

The objective was to transform a historical brief into a fluid visual score. Rooted in a clean, graphic aesthetic, the concept utilized colorful cel-animated characters and objects that fluidly morph into one another to maintain continuous momentum.

REACTIVE CRAFT

We engineered a reactive visual system by combining stylized live-feed treatments, reactive particles, and time-synchronized lighting.

This allowed the content to expand and contract in real-time, pulling the audience into the specific pulse of the soundtrack.

END-TO-END PIPELINE

As a full-service partner, we managed the entire pipeline—from design and edit to animation, music, and sound design.

Every frame was individually illustrated to ensure a high-fidelity, hand-crafted feel throughout the 90-second journey.

MAXIMUM PERSONALITY

A striking black background was utilized to make the energetic 2D cel animation and kinetic typography pop.

The result is a piece defined by its "endless flow," transforming a historical timeline into a high-energy, immersive experience.
